Excellent coffee, finally found a café in Vancouver that does a “café allongé” 😉

Matchstick is my local caffeine haven with vibes that make you want to stay all day. The staff? They're like your coffee-loving buddies, always smiling and ready with a recommendation. The coffee and tea are a real treat, hitting that sweet spot of quality that keeps you coming back. But, fair warning, if you're someone who loves a plethora of options, Matchstick keeps it simple. The menu's a bit limited, but what they do offer is pure magic. So, if you're up for good vibes, friendly faces, and a few stellar choices, Matchstick's the cozy spot to kick back and sip away.

Bao's are tasty but not the same as mins homemade of course! No one's is, decent alternative. I got morning coffee and afternoon coffee here. Morning coffee was 8/10 afternoon coffee was 5/10. The reason afternoon coffee scored low was because it was cold. I recommend this spot for tasty eats and good drinks at affordable price.

Wonderful, wonderful place, food, and drinks. So sad to know it's closing. I forgive the slow-ish service... totally get that operations are affected. Don't miss the the seasonal drinks! Personally loved the raspberry white chocolate latte. The sandiches are bomb. The stars of the breakfast sandwich are the wonderul caramelized onions and garlic mayo 🧄🥪☕ Nicely dressed people here too.

Der Geschmack des Hawaiian Lattes war neu für mich. Schmeckte fantastisch!

Update: Beim zweiten Besuch schmeckte der Kaffee völlig anders. Das Kokos- und Nussaroma fehlte komplett. Qualität scheint zu schwanken, je nachdem wer den Kaffee zubereitet.

Randomly walked in and found this cool place. I think their concept is train station and almost like harry potter themed. They have actual train station furnitures like high top shoe shine chairs converted into bar tops and the owl from harry potter. I personally liked the wooden seating by the wall. Ordered velvet cookie, it was soft and very sweet.

Hervorragendes Café, Kaffee herausragend. Wie bereits angemerkt ist die Musik sehr laut, wobei während meines Besuchs eher sphärische Klänge ertönten, die dem Café einen künstlerischen Hauch verliehen. Eigene Bäckerei, demnach sehr sehr gute pastries! Ein Juwel!

Super cozy place. A place to hangout and meet some cool neighbourhood people. Good variety of food, baked goods, amazing coffee and you can also get Quesava Poppers. The Poppers are gluten free and local. The vibe is unique, people from everywhere come here... You can find Colombian/Venezuelan Desserts such as Flan 🍮 and Tres Leches! 😋
The locals here are from the UK, Ireland, Australia, Latin America, China and many more exciting places. The place to come alone and meet some locals or a place to hangout with friends. It's just like a Cheers Bar in the West End.
