My daughter is going to Lakeside Horgen, she started at pre-K in year 2019 just when she turned 4 and now she is at 2nd grade.
Our observations so far have been very satisfactory, Lakeside brings out the best in every child by tapping into their individual strengths, while creating an environment of kindness, responsibility, and leadership.
One important aspect which lead us to decide for Lakeside was the fact that they followed the Swiss curriculum, which has higher learning standards then offered by other international schools in the area, the kids are thought English and German at a very young age and grow to be bilingual. In addition, the Lakeside integrates compassion into their teaching standards, emphasizes the importance of values, and builds leaders through each of their classes and lessons.
Though it is a small school, it allows for a lower student to teacher ratio, giving children more confidence when asking questions, engage in group activities, and opportunities for one-on-one time with the teachers.
We are so grateful for what Lakeside can offer, our daughter has become quite a confident individual yet at the same time growing at her own pace in her individual strengths, and to the school staff for not just their academic performance but also for creating an environment of kindness, responsibility, and empathy towards others.
